SV	Doch een jongeling uit de jongelingen boodschapte het aan Abigail, de huisvrouw van Nabal, zeggende: Zie, David heeft boden gezonden uit de woestijn, om onzen heer te zegenen; maar hij is tegen hen uitgevaren.
WLC	וְלַאֲבִיגַ֙יִל֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת נָבָ֔ל הִגִּ֧יד נַֽעַר־אֶחָ֛ד מֵהַנְּעָרִ֖ים לֵאמֹ֑ר הִנֵּ֣ה שָׁלַח֩ דָּוִ֨ד מַלְאָכִ֧ים ׀ מֵֽהַמִּדְבָּ֛ר לְבָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת־אֲדֹנֵ֖ינוּ וַיָּ֥עַט בָּהֶֽם׃
Trans.	wəla’ăḇîḡayil ’ēšeṯ nāḇāl higîḏ n^a‘ar-’eḥāḏ mēhannə‘ārîm lē’mōr hinnēh šāl^aḥ dāwiḏ malə’āḵîm\| mēhammiḏəbār ləḇārēḵə ’eṯ-’ăḏōnênû wayyā‘aṭ bâem:

AC	יד ולאביגיל אשת נבל הגיד נער אחד מהנערים לאמר הנה שלח דוד מלאכים מהמדבר לברך את אדנינו ויעט בהם
ASV	But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he railed at them.
BE	But one of the young men said to Nabal's wife Abigail, David sent men from the waste land to say kind words to our master, and he gave them a rough answer.
Darby	And one of [Nabal's] young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to bless our master; and he has insulted them.
